| (1) |
„OMEGA“-grooves
The functioning of gas-lubricated seals is based upon condensing the (barrier-) gas by a suitable geometry of the seal-face grooves and such leading to a defined lift-off of the seal faces. CHETRA’s „Omega“-grooves effect this requirement in an efficient manner, independent of direction of rotation and also in equipment turning at lower speed. At the
same time the gas-leakage is kept to a minimum.

| (2) | Aktiv-LUB®-System
In addition to the unwanted noise, it also means increased wear of seal-faces and thus reduced life-span. CHETRA’s Aktiv-LUB®-System is compensating this deficiency and provides the seal-faces with a sufficient lubricating film. To effect
this lubrication, by means of special lubricity-zones and –channels,
liquid is guided and distributed, assuring the necessary provision of
the seal-faces.

(3) | Integrated
feed-system (protected by DGM 202 12246.8) for double mechanical seals Double-seals need for the circulation of the barrier-/quench fluid some arrangement. Usually this is handled by extern circulation pumps or relatively costly feed-screws that need a certain space to be integrated into the seal. The new CHETRA® integrated feed-system uses flat zones within the rotating part, that are located in an axial direction; this assures an excellent feed-performance of the barrier-/ quench fluid. In comparison to usual feed arrangements, the CHETRA®-system has a substantially higher feed performance at the same speed and furthermore it is also effective in the lower speed range. Therefore
a considerably better degree of efficiency (exchange) is obtained and
thus cooling and lubricating assured. |
